GeoGlobal Energy
Mighty River Power has a large-scale geothermal business in global terms and we have built world-class capability in geothermal exploration, construction and operation. We are now investigating exciting opportunities for leveraging these capabilities to create a global geothermal business. In early 2008, we secured a 25 per cent stake in a global geothermal development company, GeoGlobal Energy LLC (GGE) – our first major off-shore venture.
In early 2009 GGE achieved commercial drilling success, the first in Chile in 40 years, on the Tolhuaca permit. More information on GGE may be found on their website http://www.geogloballlc.com/
